Good Afternoon all,

I am scheduling a guild meeting this Thursday at 8pm server time on Vent.

MEETING TOPICS :

First Topic - Guild Officers -
I am creating a new position for daily guild needs when the GM is not on. The point of this position is to keep communication open between members and the guild management. These Officers will be able to invite Member Alts or boot members that may have been hacked. They also will have direct contact with the GM when I am off line if something comes up with the guild that I need to respond to right away. Also may be able to withdrawal items from the guild bank for people. (Of course that needs to be approved by Menace or Myself) Look at this Officer as a Guild Human Resources.

What are the requirements for this role? Basically be on a lot. During the day when I am not. LOL

Second Topic - Raiding and Progression -
The topic of the day. I have ideas for this but I also want to know what people are feeling about this. Granted, I don't want this turning into a bitch session about what raids were made and who didn't get into what.

I want to talk about how we are going to get back on track, what members NEEDS are and what is the realistic timeline of us getting back on track is going to be. With that said, some of the ideas I was thinking about are below. Remember "ideas"!

RAIDING SCHEDULE AND ATTENDANCE
First I would like to change the raid schedule every week. Personally making a 7pm raid for me is almost impossible. With my work schedule doesn't let me make those. On the same note I don't thing we need to change that across the board. My idea is that one week we set the Ulduar 25 man Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm start time and then the next week change it to 8pm or so. I think we will get more members signed up for those raids if we have some adjustments in time.

I would also like for people to sign up for the raids that are really going to go. I understand RL happens and you made not be able to make a raid at the last minute but please try to remove yourself or try to communicate show how to let us know. That also goes for people who are going to raid and just don't sign up because they know they can get in no matter what. If members sign up for a raid, they should and do have FIRST RIGHT to join that raid. Granted, if 10 DPS join up only some of those can go. We ALL should know this by now, so please don't feel pissed or whatever if you are the 8th or 9th DPS to join a 10 man and not get in. You all get my point. The other thing is if a 25man raid is posted and only 10 or 11 people sign up, if a 10 man is formed from that the members should have a shot at that raid. To me it doesn't make sense to completely wash out the people who sign up and start something completely new. That's just me, the more people we get into raiding the better.

RAIDING RESPONSIBILITY
This is about be ready and able to perform in the Raid you signed up for. This means having all your pots, food, scrolls, regents, flasks and being completely repaired before even zoning in. If you were ninja invited at the last second, take a second to make sure you have this stuff and if not tell the raid leader and go from there. This is just old school stuff folks.

GEAR AND ALT TOONS
We have raiding requirements for Naxx and Ulduar for members to go to those runs as you all well know. Now Monis is the only toon I have that can go to Ulduar. I am working on my second main Raiju for Ulduar as well. But I need to get him to 25 man Naxx to get his gear up for Ulduar. With that said, how many members do we have in this same position? I would like to know how many people are still needed Naxx to make the Ulduar requirement? I am getting the feeling that only a small percentage of us are geared for Ulduar. If we need more Naxx runs, then those will be put back on the schedule. I understand for some going back to Naxx is a step backwards but if can get the more of the guild ready for Ulduar we will have more runs! We have had enough of certain dungeons trust me! I still get the cold shivers of Molten Core flash backs. LOL But again, if it's better for the guild we should help out when we can.

Now the subjects of alts. Currently we have a guild rule that we cannot bring alts to raids in fear of gear going to them over someone's main not getting it. I can understand that, but on the other hand people bringing alt's can also mean better attendance for raids. Check this out -

MEMBERS OF SDS - 79 (these are main toons)
ALTS OF SDS - 119 (these are the alt of main toons)

So that means the current raid rule we are excluding a pool of 119 toons to raids. I would like to kill the alt rule. I feel we can get better attendance and also a better mix of classes. We are always looking for tanks and healers and this way we can get them in theory. But with this will mean going and doing Naxx. Also this will mean you would need to hit up more heroics and dailies to buy better gear to get your alts up to raid requirements. The other thing is I find doing Naxx with Raiju compared to Monis is actually fun again for me and I now understand all aspects of the fights as well.

DUAL SPEC
This is also another option for us to get better attendance as well. Classes that can take advantage of this should, gold and gear willing. Classes like Druids, Warriors, Priests, Shamans and Pallys all have healers and tanks sets within them. just a thought.

So I think this is enough for the first meeting, I really want to get the raid thing down and get us on the road to better things. Again, everything above is ideas and suggestions. Let talk about it and see what we want to do.

See you at 8pm,
Monis

We've Come to Play...
Mission Statement
The Seven Deadly Sins is a WoW raiding guild on the Cenarius Realm. Our goal is to enjoy this game as much as possible, PRIMARILY THROUGH END-GAME RAIDING, as well as participate in PvP, questing, world events, and anything else that lends itself to a good time while playing WoW.

We respect each members' time and embrace the diversity each member brings to the guild. We strive to maintain a mature, warm, and friendly atmosphere, understanding that we are all human and make mistakes, but mistakes allow us the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed while having fun. We encourage every member to find their own playing style that provides the most amount of enjoyment while playing WoW and excel in mastering their character's mechanics and abilities. Resources (i.e. information, advice, gear, weapons,etc...) will always be available to help any member be successful in playing and progressing through WoW content.

Seeing members log on and participate in guild activities is what makes this game such an addiction, but we understand that this is just a game and should be played with understanding and moderation. In short: Respect yourself||Respect others||Play what you like||Be good at what you play||Assemble on time||Be prepared||Come to play||Have Fun!
